Great location by the beach and backwaters, interesting architecture

It’s spread out and not much to do

Amazing nature, beautiful villas with private pool. Grans infinity pool overlooking back waters

The staff are extremely friendly and the manager was very accomodative. Food was excellent and buffet had a good spread

On the day we checked in our bed was filled with tiny hairs, I assume that either the sheets were not changed after the previous guests or somebody had misused the bed. The stairs leading to our room very dirty.Having to experience something like this at a Taj Property was very disappointing.The lady who checked us in on the 31st did not tell us that the 1st of every month is a dry day in Kerala because of which our daughter's birthday celebrations did not go as per our plans

Pool was closed for renovations though the resort arranges for us to go to their sister resort to use the pool

The property is amazing. The view is very serene. The staff are very well trained and polite. They ensure that each customer is well taken care of. The food is exceptional. It’s just wonderful. Overall a truly fantastic Taj experience.

The food was excellent. The breakfast was also great!

On arrival we could have been contacted regarding our food preferences after a long journey from Delhi since we were hungry. Also the welcome drink was not provided (we would have preferred coconut water). Also restaurant can provide us information on when the buffet would be there in Lunch or dinner to plan accordingly.

Due to the large number of guests, the staff is sometimes unable to give personalized services expected of them.

There were so many activities in the property and they also arrange taxis for local sightseeing or shopping. The buggy service within the resort was quick to take you around and great if you travel with kids or senior citizens, buffet meals had a lot of different variety and was great, creche in the property and activity room to keep kids occupied

There was some water leakage in the bathroom, a bit overpriced in peak season, some of the activities like cricket, archery etc were not included in the package price

We got the presidental suite as a gift by the resort which was huge and had a big pool the activites were also good they had good customer service.

Food

The entire team of Taj especially Mr. Varma (GM), Mr. Anbu (Head Chef) and Mr. Jason (Duty Manager) were instrumental in making the stay very pleasant and memorable.

The experience in relaxing within the room and laying on the swinging bed in the backyard facing the back water is simply awesome. There are more activities which keeps us engaged and kills out boredom if we happen to experience one :). Beach view and Sit outs near the back of back water would be soothing and calming.

If the ideal motive is to spend the days within the property, then set your mind to spend a lot on food, it will definitely increase your budget plus 30%. Activities like Nets cricket and Archery are chargeable with GST. No indoor games are allowed after 7pm.

The Resort Landscape is amazing. Backwaters and beachfront.

The food quality was way below par.. We never looked forward to have breakfast, dinner as there was nothing exciting on the buffet. Lauki ka halwa, papad ki sabzi was served. Chef prepared moong daal ka halwa and it was so bad that we were so disappointed. There was no rich chocolate cake. Brownies were hard. Dosa at live counter was paper thin. Staff were overwhelmed with the crowd. Felt that they are understaffed. The scrambled eggs were the worst, it was white and runny. The overall culinary experience everyday was very bad. Once chef got vada pao and it was such a bad preparation and tasteless vada. So our stay was good but food was disappointing. And every day we were surprised to see food not adhering to 5 star quality. The property is massive and has backwaters and private beach front. The staff at reception on checkin did not provide information about happy hours or about spa. The main bar, was dimly lit smelling of chlorine from the pool. There was no music and no vibe. Didn't feel like ordering drinks. I would return only for the massive property landscape and definitely not for the food.

Halloo, It was my first experience with the TAJ, I would say they have done a fantastic job just by creating this venue. Next the complete team has done a fantabulous job in the upkeeping of the property. Every small detail is taken care. We had a splendid stay and we are sure that we will be rushing back to this property whenever time permits. We loved it and enjoyed every moment spent there.

Most aspects

Restaurants need better management. Good but nut quite up to Tak standards e.g. breakfast begins at 07.30 yet even by 07.50 some items still not out.

Everything was great,big cheers to the f&b team out there ,special mention Mr.Amitabh who made us have himachali feast on Himachal day .The spa was excellent one must try out there therapies,the pool guy bijil was excellent.special thanks to the General manager Mr.singh for the hospitality,will definitely visit soon and recommend the property to friends !!!!

The access to the beach and backwaters

The staff was very overwhelmed. At one point during breakfast we could hear the staff shout at each other for half n hour. It was not pleasant.
